About
Dr. Sofie Azmy
Sofie Azmy, PsyD, HSPP, MBA
I’m a licensed clinical psychologist in Indiana and Illinois. I’m also approved to practice interjurisdictional telepsychology in PSYPACT participating states. I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Wheaton College, where I received specialized training integrating spirituality and religion with evidenced-based therapeutic interventions. I am committed to providing sound psychological services and research-based treatments while drawing upon your strengths and values. I enjoy offering my expertise in integrating faith into the therapeutic process to facilitate healing and growth for those specifically seeking to do so in their clinical treatment.
I believe in meeting you where you are and developing a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique needs and goals. Some of the empirically supported interventions I integrate include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT). These interventions allow you to make intentional, values-based choices about how you lead your life. I value compassion, authenticity, and respect, which my clients experience while working with me. I’m passionate about partnering with my clients to help them heal, learn, and grow.
In addition to my therapy experience, I’ve taught undergraduate and graduate psychology and counseling courses and provided clinical supervision to practicum and internship students. I also enjoy leading workshops and speaking on a variety of mental health, parenting, and marital topics through a culturally sensitive perspective.
I’m here to support you and empower you to make enlightened life choices.
